It's been a while since I have had any free time to update this site, but will jump on it first chance I get. you can certainly help if you or someone you know were in a Sagebrush Theater production (please add yourself under the "Productions" tab above - click on "Directory") or you have digital images or even printed pictures (that may be scanned and returned to you immediately) - the more, the merrier. I desire to chronicle the rich 26 year history of Sagebrush Theater, payig tribute to all who have taken part as actors, directors and others behind the scenes. This space was set up for cast and crew, but what say we open it to anyone who would like to leave a comment? If you enjoyed a particular play or musical, tell everyone about it. If you have a suggestion for an upcoming production, fire away! Thanks for your support of live, local theater!

The cast is now posted under our news page.
Tonight was my first rehearsal following our line read-through back on September 2nd; others have been actively rehearsing since. I came away with two thoughts - # 1 ~ this is going to be an entertaining musical comedy - a well written play with lines that tell of an era, but stand the test of time in comedic value, coupled with great tunes from the 40's and # 2 this appears to be a very talented cast with a great deal of stage experience and rehearsals should run smoothly.
Hopefully some of the other cast members will post here as I seem to get more than my fair share of forums to espouse my opinions, like this Friday night with Red Devil Football @ Green River ~ Click here to listen in online beginning @ 6:20. How's that for illustrating my point and shameless cross promotion?!

Alrighty then, I'll start this, as no one else knows about it yet...
This is a site designed to promote the upcoming Sagebrush Theater production of "The 1940's Radio Hour" on November 7th & 8th and again, Friday & Saturday, November 14th & 15th.
As time allows, the site will also showcase past Sagebrush Theater productions spanning 20 plus years. If you have some memorabilia in the form of programs, digital pictures or other pictures that could be scanned and returned to you, please contact me; we'd love to include your memories and images here to chronicle the rich history of live theater in Evanston
to share with everyone!
This is a site that I've wanted to do for several years, but being cast in the upcoming production gave me the additional impetus to get this project started. I'll spread the word to our director, Patty Willoughby, and the cast and have them share their thoughts as we go along.
Here's to hoping we'll see you opening night!

Sorry, Les, limited runs -- a musical in the fall (6 performances last time, usually in November and a spring play, comedy or drama, usually late March early April. Sagebrush Theater appreciates your interest!
